Wall Text Exercise: You will write a museum wall label for single ceramic or porcelain object of your choosing. Models of exemplary wall text will be provided. Word count must range between 150 and 250. Assume an interested, intelligent reader who may not have preexisting knowledge about the object in question. Text is due on September 25. Writing Assignment 2
Museum Catalog Entry: You will write a catalog entry for 1, 2, or three glass objects. We will review exemplary models of catalog text. This entry will require rudimentary research and citations. This text is due October 2.
Writing Assignment 3
Second Wall Text Exercise: You will write museum wall text for a metal object (silver, pewter, brass, tin-ware, iron, or other). This should be easier to do, and better quality, than the first assignment. This text is due October 16.
Writing Assignment 4
Second Catalog Entry: You will write an entry on a textile or work-on-paper (photograph, drawing, print, etc). This text, along with revised previous texts is due October 30 .
Final Project
Prospectus Due November 6
You will choose an collection-based object or set of objects to interpret and produce one of the following:

Public Presentation
Exhibition Proposal
You should have selected your object or group of object by the due date for the prospectus, which should include:
Identification and description of object(s)
Choice of format (Essay, presentation, Exhibition etc)
Interpretive strategy (see Seeing Things Differently for explanation and examples of interpretive approaches
